Sunday Evening Cabaret

Ismena presents a lively musical theatre cabaret show that has been performed at London Fringe theatres including Southwark Playhouse, Rosemary Branch Theatre, Battersea Barge, Barons Court Theatre, The Space and Canal Cafe Theatre. Ismena's new cabaret show will be presented in the West End in 2012 in a monthly residency at Cafe Koha  (Leicester Square), with special guests.


 


 

Love & Lust Cabaret - Forget Glee. Showtunes just got sexy. 

An outrageous evening of fabulous and saucy musical theatre cabaret with soprano diva Sara Cluderay and the simply divine Donovan Chapman. Geeks and Nerds, Studs and Babes, Dykes and Queens tell their stories through songs from the shows. A huge hit after its debut at London's famous gay venue, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern in July, Love & Lust Cabaret will return to RVT in May 2012...



 

 

Seasons -  classical concert

Ismena presents Seasons, a programme of 20th Century and Contemporary classical music. The concert includes Daryl Runswick's Scottish Ballads - arrangements of folksongs about or attributed to tundefinedhe life of Mary, Queen of Scots - in a new version commissioned by Ismena to include a cello obligato. The programme also includes Barber's Hermit Songs and Cello Sonata, Copland's 12 Emily Dickinson Poems, Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time and new songs by Ismena's cellist Mayda Narvey - Seasons, settings of poems by Christina Rossetti and Hilaire Belloc.

 

 

La Bonne Cuisine - a classical cabaret

A cabaret-style concert of quirky songs and recipes for soprano, cello, flute and piano (cakes provided), premiered as part of Rosemary Branch Theatre's Branching Out Festival 2011. Includes Bernstein's La Bonne Cuisine, selected American songs by Copland and Barber, Britten's Cabaret Songs, Theatre songs by Weill and new pieces by Mayda Narvey, including Chicken Soup - "the elixir of life!"  Handy household hints for today's busy housewife or househusband also provided.

Belgrave & Manera's Music Comedy Club

Sara made her debut on the comedy scene in Spring 2010, in a guest spot as The Opera Diva with comedians Mike Belgrave and Mike Manera. Future appearances are in the offing...

Other performances in 2010 included concerts at the Serbian Embassy of Great Britain, The Actors' Church Covent Garden and a choral tour of New York City, plus a cabaret spot at Manhattan's famous piano bar Don't Tell Mama.
